Home Depot Senior Architect, Customer Communications in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

The Sr. Architect, Customer Communication will be responsible for building capabilities that leverage digital marketing data to create solutions in collaboration with various business teams to meet their strategic and tactical goals. This role will leverage knowledge and experience of marketing processes to execute on project deliverables, maintain and improve existing data job logic, and activate audience data across Home Depot's partner platforms and digital marketing channels. The position will be held accountable for designing and implementing best practices for targeting and personalization in customer-facing communications across marketing and non-marketing channels as well as guiding team members and stakeholders in the use of those best practices. The role may include liaising with high level internal clients and the agency of record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 25% Collaborates with Partners - Coordinate with various teams, including internal and external partners involved in channel execution, data science and marketing strategies to produce high quality outcomes

  • 40% Executive on Deliverables - Execute on project deliverables based on team and Home Depot digital marketing priorities. Completes high quality work within time constraints. Utilizes independent discretion to solve problems

  • 35% Job Logic - Maintains and uses discretion and technical knowledge to improve existing data and campaign job logic

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to translate digital marketing problems into marketing projects

  • Excellent project management and executive communication skills

  • Strong Digital Marketing and Data Analysis Skills

  • Strong background in SQL and Relational Databases

  • Strong background in customer-facing communication development, especially HTML and CSS

  • Deep experience in communication development across marketing and non-marketing channels, especially email

  • Proven track record of successful implementation work to improve customer experiences and drive efficiencies in building new communications

  • Significant experience in a customer-facing, high criticality and fast-paced environment where seconds matter

  • Ability and willingness to operate in a highly cross-functional environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
