Description We are looking for a Tax Preparer to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. The role will involve preparing tax returns for individuals and corporations, liaising with the IRS, and potentially progressing into a management role. This position is in the professional services industry and is a wonderful opportunity to grow and advance within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns for individuals and corporations

• Correspond with the IRS as needed

• Utilize various accounting software systems to manage financial records

• Provide excellent customer service to clients

• Use Drake Tax Software, Intuit ProSeries, and Lacerte Tax Software for tax preparation

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for expense reporting and maintaining financial records

• Maintain accurate documentation of all tax preparation activities

• Deductible calculations and adjustments

• Potential progression into a management role

• Continuously update skills and knowledge in tax preparation and related fields. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer in a professional services setting

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Drake Tax Software, Intuit ProSeries, and Lacerte Tax Software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong customer service skills

• Knowledge of tax deductions and how to apply them

• Ability to accurately document client information and interactions

• Experience with expense reporting

• Ability to maintain and manage financial records

• Must meet all regulatory and compliance requirements.
