DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the primary point of contact for our community members, you will represent Wayne County Human Services Agency and leave a positive impression. This important role involves collaborating with colleagues and working independently. Your responsibilities will include executing assigned projects and tasks from the Area Agency on Aging administration and supervisors, such as data verification and entry, correspondence, filing, mail distribution, and agenda support. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, proficiency in office equipment, task prioritization, accuracy, and patience in dealing with diverse consumers are essential for this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position may have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays. This position may require overnight travel. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum; or Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna or Wayne counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
