Title: Assistant Director - Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Participate in design sessions to understand business needs and functional / non-functional requirements. Apply appropriate patterns and practices. Provide guidance to solution development and operations teams in applying leading and emerging data technologies. Accountable for solutions in supported functional area by safeguarding data model consistency, data flows process structure, and data integrity. Design, develop, test, and deliver a maintainable, scalable data platform in Snowflake. Implement Snowflake\'s best practices for loading and transforming data. Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to refine pipeline requirements and design data models to support business objectives. Help to establish and follow a DataOps culture within team. Work closely in an agile team setting to deliver high-quality systems and value to our clients. Manage consultants on a daily basis for Agile delivery. Design and develop data engineering-based solution to process unstructured data coming from heterogenous source systems. Design Python based serverless components in public Cloud platform for processing data unloaded from Snowflake. Design API Solutions using popular public Cloud platforms to make business critical data available for programmatic access. Lead the on-shore and off-shore development teams. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor\'s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer or in a related IT position providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with Snowflake cloud data platform, Python, core AWS services, including AWS S3, IAM, Lambda functions, Step functions, API Gateway and Secrets Manager, SQL Developer, VS Code, Miro, Business Intelligence Development Studio; and using build tools and version control systems, including GIT. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is \$169,299 to \$184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
