Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a controller to join a leading franchiser in the fitness and spa industry. The ideal candidate is somebody who has strong technical accounting and auditing experience who can ultimately advise the company on best financial decisions. The controller will analyze monthly and financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. They will be responsible for reviewing complex reconciliations and oversee the process design and operational effectiveness of the company's financial transactions. The controller will oversee revenue recognition / accounting by analyzing application of ASC 606. This person needs to have strong communication and management skills to successfully hire, train, and grow the accounting department. The controller will contribute to special projects and initiatives such as system implementations, process enhancements, and risk assessments.

Skills and Requirements

* 8+ years of experience as a controller in corporate accounting

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

* Experience with Sage, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP systems

 Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and financial reporting requirements for publicly traded companies. * Experience with Sage X3 null
