Overview

The Pricing Manager provides a consistent approach and strategic thinking for the pricing and approval of products. Responsible for managing the pricing process and developing strategic pricing recommendations to be presented to senior leadership. Accomplishes objectives through research and analysis of competitive pricing dynamics and development of robust pricing models for products and product lines. This role is highly cross functional and will require leadership skills behind managing information flow between sales, marketing, and provincial liquor boards

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the pricing process across all provinces by serving as the primary contact to the business for all pricing related inquiries such as ensuring accuracy on pricing quotes to the commercial teams and suppliers

• Develop an understanding of liquor board pricing structure changes and ensures the internal pricing system calculators are aligned to the liquor board calculations

• Responsible for overlooking the administration of all pricing submissions with each provincial liquor board, while ensuring all internal systems and master data are updated Submit all price changes to each Provincial Liquor Board accurately and timely

• Maintain Internal Price Lists to accurately match product COGS, Indirect Costs, supplier transfer prices, Forex rates, Rebates efficiently in all provinces

• Ensure all Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Pricing systems and tools are updated with all the latest submissions/changes

• Perform financial evaluation to assess the effectiveness of pricing actions

• Generate incremental revenue through strategic price increases without compromising commercial

performance. Work with analytics and provincial managers to come up with unbiased insights to drive profitable recommendations

• Generate ad-hoc specialty reports for executive management, sales management, and suppliers as

directed

• Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system

• Lead, coach, and manage a team, to include hiring, development, and progressive discipline/termination, as needed

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus five years of experience in an analytical role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience• 1+ year of demonstrated supervisory experience• Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office a must– Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook• Ability to interpret and summarize data, identify key takeaway insights and business implications• A detail-oriented, organized, and analytical team player who is eager to learn• Ability to streamline processes to create efficiencies• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co- workers, other business areas, and government agencies• Energetic and works with a strong sense of urgency in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
