Position Summary: The Application Technician is responsible for the top coat and e-room components of the automated powder coating paint line.
TOP COAT Application Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing Top Coat Powder
- Color Changes
- Wiping Down
- Setting Paint Recipes
- Making Radiator Adjustments for Cool Down
- Operating Wheelabrator
- Turning on Dust Collector
- Checking Shot Levels in Wheelabrator
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Quality Responsibilities
- Monitoring Mil Thicknesses
- Monitoring Steel Temps at Top Coat
- Checking Blast Media Ratio
- Visual Inspection
- PM and 6S Responsibilities
- OPM-038 Top Coat
- Top Coat Area
- Oven Isle
- Gel Cool Down Area
- Powder Storage Room
E-ROOM Application Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting Paint Recipes
- Loading Powder
- Organizing Powder
- Operating All Functions of E-Room
- Completing Daily, Weekly, and Monthly PMs
- Setting Oven Recipes
- Setting Line Speed
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Quality Responsibilities
- Visual Inspections
- Mil Checks on Primer
- Blast Profile Checks
- Blast Cleanliness Checks
- PM and 6S Responsibilities
- OPM-037 E-Room
- E-Room Area

Application Technician Skills and Specifications:
- Ability to safely operate a fork truck
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure first quality of work.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
