One of the MAT Holdings divisions, Meneta Group, has been designing, producing and selling brake shims, back plates and caliper hardware globally since 1953. The North American Division of Meneta (MENA) is growing and is looking for a Quality Engineer for its production site located in Rome GA.

The individual will lead MENA’s Quality Department. He/She will monitor and test the quality of our products, ensure compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation. He/she will also lead the IATF16949 Quality audit with the support of the Group Quality team located in Denmark. He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Principle Responsibilities

• Responsible for the ensuring the integrity and stability of quality control processes at the facility, and compliance with related system requirements.

• Implement and maintain APQP process including operator process control, FMEA, PPAP processing and submission, establishment of control plans, 8D facilitation and maintaining QS.

• Assist in problem solving with suppliers and customers for product identified as nonconforming, support supplier development activities.

• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation of conformance to specifications.

• Compiles and writes training material, work instructions and conducts training sessions for quality control and assurance activities.

• Implement and monitor statistical process control activity as required by the customer and internal requirements.

• Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal personnel via email, face to face communication, and/or phone communication.

• Work in fast paced manufacturing environment; handle multiple project at the same time.

• Develops and maintains internal audits.

• Manage the annual IATF16949 audit.

• Setup MENA’s Quality System for the new fine blanking stamping division and get IATF16949 certified.

• BA/BS Preferred in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

• Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Management, preferably in the Automotive industry.

• Experience in a stamping environment would be a plus.

• IATF16949 experience.

• Internal audit, core tools (8D methodology, MSA, APQP, SPC, FMEA ) skills.

• Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Minitab).

• Knowledge of SAP system would be a plus.
