RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is accountable for all activities associated with plant safety and health programs, medical services, safety training, recordkeeping, and the security of the Dold Foods facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works closely with salaried and hourly employees to design, develop, implement, and maintain all safety and health programs which meet established Hormel Foods Corporate Safety Policies and OSHA standards.
• Minimizes worker compensation costs through the effective management of medical services to include establishing effective working relationships with local medical professionals.
• Oversees the onsite medical department and ensures the proper reporting and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Oversees the outside security company and all facets of the security program to ensure the plant and its grounds are safe and secure.
• Leads the Dold Safety Committee.
• Maintains positive Company-employee relations.
• Coordinating the development and delivery of training solutions and monitoring the effectiveness of these programs.
• Provides coaching and guidance to ensure others become effective trainers of safety and security information.
